Sarah Palin Loves Socialized Health Care (When She’s Paying For It)

WTF??? Doesn’t this exactly prove the opposite of her position on health care? Am I crazy?

*A side note for Melissa (and anyone else who watches Project Runway) – Notice how blue and orange are opposites on the color wheel? I don’t know why this didn’t occur to me before, but – doesn’t that mean they’re an extremely compatible color combination? Outside of opinion and taste – color theory does not lie, PR judges.

Repost from Facebook – Re: National Health care Debate

August 17, 2009 By: Tracy Category: Uncategorized

I currently have extremely great health insurance. I’m lucky – but, even with what I have, there are problems.
Getting our “fantastic” insurance company to pay Lars’ hospital bills was like pulling teeth. 2 years later, we’re still trying to parse out what they should cover, failed to cover, refused to cover, the list goes on and on…
In my opinion, this bill doesn’t go far enough. Ethically – I believe that health care is a basic, human right and it’s a travesty that this debate is getting overshadowed by the misinformation and fear of a very small and (I’m sorry) culturally and intellectually backward minority who allow themselves to be played and used by those with clearly defined financial interests in maintaining the status quo.
That isn’t to say you can’t disagree with the current bill as it stands, but if you’re taking marching orders from a group of people saying things like, “Well, if Stephen Hawking were born in the UK, they would have put him before a death panel” – then, I’m sorry – I would willingly pay higher taxes to get you the mental health care and education you so desperately need. (**I don’t believe for a second that the people who are opposed to National Health care  even give a crap about Stephen Hawking…or anyone like him – because they’re the same people voting against providing care for the disabled.)
This isn’t about left or right. It’s about taking care of our citizens and not being vile, self-centered, myopic creeps.

For my nerd pals I offer a quote from Torchwood:
“An injury to one is an injury to all.” – Cpt. Jack Harkness

And for Christian detractors of health care reform, I offer this:
“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
Mathew 25:40
