Also – this place is filled with crazy drama that I’m not allowed to talk about on the internets. Siiiigh. But, the stories I will and/or probably have told you in person.

2. Would you rather be stuck with -10 degree weather and snow the rest of your life or sun and 95 degrees? Um stuck, stuck? No question – SUN!!!  If being stuck in 60 degree, rain weather was an option – well, that would be a different story.

4. How far do you commute to get to work/school? Far enough. I usually hitch a ride with my sweetie in the morning, but the way home is typically on the train. You’d think it would make me feel cool and urban, but really it just makes me fear and hate people.

5. What kind of bag do you carry on a daily basis (purse, large tote, backpack, etc.)? 2010 is the year of the backpack. I’ve resisted looking like a turtle-shelled douche for years, but I’m 35! …and I have to carry a 5 1/2 lb. laptop, plus accessories and gadgets and so on.

The backpack is not chic, but I feel like I could run from zombies or use both of my hands to smack wildly at stranger danger on the train. (See above)

6. Are you crafty? What kinds of crafts do you do? It’s a gift and a curse. I’m mildly good at many things; knitting, crocheting, sewing, stitching …. I can do them all okay, but I lose interest quickly. I like to paint and draw a lot.

7. What is the best thing you can cook? I used to be the master of potato curry, but I haven’t made it in a while. The best thing I made recently would be gluten-free hamburgers with portobello mushrooms. (See one of my curry recipes here)

8. Are you good at math? It’s funny you should ask. Last week I was talking with my friends Melissa and Tawnya about this very subject. I never thought I was good at math, but now that I’m grown up, I realize I can blame that lapse in self-image to one teacher. Ms. Hanson, I’m looking at you. She constantly picked on me, berated me until I finally snapped and told her that she just didn’t know how to teach me. I know it sounds horrible, but I didn’t really say it as sassy as it sounds. It didn’t matter – she threw me out of her class and off to remedial math I went.

I’ve manicured the idea that I’m just  bad at math for most of my life and then one day I realized that my job, you know – the one I’m pretty good at….the one I picked up on my own without any formal education on at all…. well, it’s all a bunch of fucking math. So, suck on that, haters.

9. Do you take risks when it comes to your haircut or color? I used to color my hair all kinds of crazy colors, but now I pretty much stick to the standard. Brown head. Nuthin’ special.

2. Have you ever gone through an entire bottle of nail polish and bought a second of the same color? Yep. Sally Hanson XTREEEEME in Flirt.

3. What’s on your nails? Jade is the new black – OPI (It’s the shizznit!)

4. What are you reading right now? The Magicians by Lev Grossman. It’s pretty awesome so far.

5. Do you do pedicures in the winter? Melissa got us all fantabulous pedicures for Christmas and until about 2 weeks ago my toes were rocking the extremely patriotic Zoya – America.

6. Where do you paint your nails? At the coffee table in front of the t.v. where Criminal Intent lives.

7. What’s the last thing you bought? Mints, but I’m really thinking about buying some chocolate.

8. Do you love it when we “spring forward” and it’s light out until 8:00-9:00 pm? I love it so much that I just got giddy thinking about it. My life feels so much less cramped during the summer.

9. What is your favorite print or pattern (can be for clothing, furniture, or whatever)? Overall polka dots. Particularly white on black…or white on red. I’m actually wearing white on black polka dots this very minute with a sweater bearing my other favorite pattern – black and gray stripes. Yeah, I know. I dress like a clown. I also have on black, glitter Converse if that helps paint a better picture for you.

10. What are your two fave color combinations? Turquoise and red…. pink and orange…..pink and green.
